The sculpture shows the 8 phases of the moon on the outer ring, with each sphere a visual representation of the current orbital cycle. It is composed of three mobile elements: two triangle pointers (one large and one small) and the clock face. Each of these with their own independent functions:

The large red triangle pointer shows when your period is predicted to begin according to the orbital cycle.
The other pointer shows the passing of time as it points to the lines on the clock face, where each line represents one day. This pointer also points to the changing phases of the moon.

The clock face itself (with the attached “moon spheres”) is the component that moves, while the pointers are static, unlike a traditional clock.
As the clock continues to move over the days, weeks, months, and eventually years, the user will soon be able to recognise the patterns within their body in almost exact correspondence to their Moon Clock.

How to use it:

The two triangle pointers, at first are to be set in the correct position, pointing at the specific moon phase, on the first day the menstrual period arrives.

With every day that passes, the Moon Clock user, is required to turn the clock daily to the next line on the main clock face, automatically always following the moon cycle. Each line on the clock face, represents one day.

As the clock continues to be moved over the days, weeks, months, and eventually years, the Moon Clock user will very soon be able to recognise the patterns within their body in almost exact correspondence to their Moon Clock.
